In Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) can play a crucial role in extending legal aid and support to remote and underserved communities, especially in the context of the region's unique socio-political situation. PLVs can facilitate mediation sessions and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to resolve conflicts and disputes within communities. Given the importance of peace-building efforts in J&K, PLVs can play a significant role in promoting dialogue and reconciliation at the grassroots level. PLVs can collaborate with local legal services authorities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to extend legal services to marginalized communities in J&K. By working together, they can leverage resources and expertise to reach more people in need of legal assistance.
